A goat herder with his goats...

we were on the way to a walk high up above Monchique, and passed this guy standing relaxed by his goatherd having a smoke. The goats noticed us stopping by the roadside and curiosity got them running our way. It surprised me when the herder whistled to a dog that was a golden labrador to round them up together again. I suppose we are just so used to collie dogs rounding up sheep...
