My beach has been invaded!

There is a huge land, sea and air operation going on in our area at the moment. It is a 2 week thing with troops from USA and all over Europe. There are loads of them staying across the road from my school so have had chinooks flying over the top of us daily - rattling the windows and distracting the kids no end!

On the way to work today I came over the hill to see that our lovely beach that I have blipped several times had been invaded!!! So after work I shot (no pun!!) home and got the big camera and went back down for a nosey - hoping that they wouldn't arrest me and steal my camera!!!

Parked up and took some shots and was spotted by some cheeky soldiers who decided to have a wee laugh with me by getting some posing in!!!

Went and had a wee chat with them and had quite a laugh. Got some pics of the Navy and chinook practising its landings and their landing craft on the beach .

All very exciting really. Will be glad to get my beach back to normal though......
