New shoots

April certainly has had its fair share of showers. One minute the sky is black and the rain is pouring down, the next the sun is shining and the sky is blue! I chose my moment carefully to dodge the rain and venture to the bottom of the garden. I could see the vibrant green shoots of the horse chestnut tree shouting out against the dark wet bark of the trunk and wanted to go and investigate. Unfortunately I didn't have long before it satrted to rain again!
