Rainy Day at Bodymoor Heath

What a wet day! The plan was to meet friends for lunch at the Dog & Doublet, Bodymoor Heath with Dylan, and then take a nice walk along the Birmingham & Fazely canal side, and, of course, I could take some photos.

Well it didn't work out quite like that. We decided not to take Dylan as it was lashing down, and it carried on raining through lunch (which was very acceptable and washed down with a couple of pints of Abbot Ale).

After lunch and a chat, the rain eased and we did manage to get out for a short walk along the canal side. The rain started up again on the journey home, all in all, a pretty miserable day albeit great to meet good friends and have a chat in a characterful country pub by the fire.
