It is just a pack of suger

Yes it is just 500 grams of sugar.
What I felt something unique about Japan is that they tend to wrap up food & ingredients a lot.

For example, this sugar is already packed. But the cashier put it inside this small bag before putting it in a bigger bag. In another case today, the cashier put pieces of spoons and a peeler inside a paper bag before putting it in a plastic bag.
I understand customer service at retail stores in Japan do very well in thinking about customers, but it's in fact over-packing and perhaps a bit environment unfriendly.

Normal working day today, but it was nice their was a learning session at lunch time to learn about corporate values for an insurance company.
Early day tomorrow starting with a teleconference with NY. Time difference is currently 13 hours with Tokyo. I hope I can wake up early enough!
