April Challenge #25: Looking Down
I went to the Graves art gallery in Sheffield city centre today to visit the Andy Warhol Late Self-Portraits exhibition. Today's picture looks down at the details painted on the street outside the gallery.
The accompanying booklet states, "Andy Warhol was the most photographed American artist of the 20th century" He is also said to be the most imitated.
Guilty!!!
I found the exhibition inspiring and also awe-inspiring. Oddly though, my favourite picture was a a portrait of David Bailey. I studied the portrait intensely to see how the lighting was done and get an idea for a future self-portrait of my own.
