In a flap..
Picking up on comments from a recent blip about my vintage clothing and, as it's been raining all morning, here is a shot of my flapper dress that had a recent outing to a party.
Taking photos with me in it, on self- timer, was challenging as there is so much movement in the fabric and the fringing, They all looked rather blurry, so I'll take a close up of the beading panels another time.
Oh yes and I chopped my feet and head off, because I didn't like my expression they couldn't fit in!!
It is the most flattering of dresses as the heavy, silk crepe fabric skims over a multitude of sins, and the eye is taken away from the midriff.
I found this dress in a junk shop many years ago, before vintage was quite as popular as it is now. It cost me just a few pounds. It needed some of the beading and fringing sewing back on, and there are a couple of small holes in it, but as long as I wear black underwear it looks fine.
I am blipping early today as this evening I'm going out for dinner with my SBF whom I haven't seen at all this year.
There will be a lot of catching up to do.
