Art in bloom

Still a little on the cool side today, so we went into St. Petersburg to the Museum of Fine Arts. I was pleased to discover that their Art in Bloom event was running, where professionals and gifted amateurs fill the galleries with floral arrangements inspired by the art. This arrangement is inspired by Claude Monet's Road to the village of Vetheuil, Snow. We spent a wonderful morning admiring the art and the blooms, as well as a small Egyptian exhibition they had. If you're interested in seeing more "Art in bloom", you can see more here. We found a lovely little place for lunch around the back of Museum, and sat enjoying our quiche out in the sunshine. Then we went for a stroll along the waterfront before going out to Fort de Soto County Park for a few hours in the afternoon.a
