How to break your camera in one swift move

So I took myself off to Manly as I've been recommended to go all trip. Surf was as pathetic as bondi yesterday (highly disappointing) and I stupidly put my stuff down on the beach only for a pathetic wave to come in further than id planned and it hit my stuff....my camera was victim to the surf and is now laying in a bowl of rice......not cheese as my friend thought it was after having a few too many!
