SPECIAL OCCASION

It was a really lovely day. The charity where my Dad worked for seven years after retiring from the RAF have created a little terrace garden while they were refurbishing their offices, and they wanted to dedicate it in memory of him. They chose what would have been his 84th birthday, and invited Mum and her daughters to the occasion. She unveiled the plaque and then said a few impromptu words of thanks, and managed not to cry, although she wanted to. We're all so proud of them both.
