Pear Blossoms

Today ended up in rain. I decided to spend some time on getting a good blip.

I shot this with my legacy 105mm f2.5 Nikkor which is totally manual on my D3000, so I have to deal with the exposure and focus manually.

I do this in what I call "remote tethered mode" where I take some shots, remove the memory card from the camera that is on the tripod, run back to the house and download the images to my computer where I can evaluate them for focus. Then I run back out and try the changes I think will work. Much fun.

With much back and forthing I finally had the image I wanted.
