Thistle Down

By Ethel

Girl

How lovely is a girl,
And how sweet she is to express.
When ever she stands in beauty,
In a long and ruffly-dress.

She tosses her hair lightly,
And her eyes sparkle, too.
In my closer discovery,
They mostly are blue.

Her nose turns up slightly,
With a glow on her face.
Her arms moving upward,
So perfect...in grace.

She rises on tip-toes,
And is so free from guile.
She captures your heart-strings,
With a sweet little smile.

If I never see heaven,
Nor read from it's books,
I'll know from this instance,
How a real angel looks.
