Turning Point

Dog, Cat and Mouse!

It was wonderful to be met by Lucie and Lachlan once we'd reached Edinburgh airport. Bow Wow was waiting in the car and it struck me as very strange to see him here in Scotland. It's surprising to think that with the correct paperwork, an African animal, albeit a domestic one, can now be brought into the UK without even going through quarantine.

Lucie told us about the other new addition to our home - a tiny mouse that's living behind the dishwasher in the kitchen. Lachlan set a friendly trap to catch it, but thinks it may be too clever after unsuccessfully attempting to lure it with cheese, chocolate and then peanut butter. It seems that the mouse need not be afraid of the cat as Sasha is intent on stalking poor Bow Wow!

Hamish was anxious to get to school as the summer term started today and he'd already missed the first few lessons. GP had appeared by this time and so she and Lucie came to St Andrews for the ride and catch up. After dropping Hamish off, the sun came out and we had a wander about. I blipped the East Sands and Harbour.

Later Lucie and I walked the dog at the newly developed Riverside Nature Park. It was Bow Wow's first confrontation with a rabbit...

Felicity received some brilliant news that she's been waiting for this morning. Hip Hip Hooray!
