Plastic Fantastic

For all the hoarding and sentimentality that my old dear engages in, it often results in a number of benefits. This image is an illustration of one of those benefits, the retention of my (and my siblings) toys.

Also the fact that she seems to remember everything, which for a collector and user of various social and official records of events, from the everyday to the extraordinary, is something that I should be increasingly grateful for.

The joy that my kid gets out of playing with these, and the fact that toy makers don't make crazy ass shit like this, make me even more grateful for my mum and all her mum-ness quirks (amongst all the other amazing things she does)
