Leaver's Evening

It was the last CU meeting of semester tonight. For some it was their last as members of the CU so we had some games, interviews and prayer time as a suitable send-off for them. I was leading the worship tonight and it was nice playing some of the leaver's favourite songs. One of them was new to me - Standing on the Promises. A great old hymn that we had a bit of fun with tonight.

Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord,
Bound to Him eternally by love's strong cord,
Overcoming daily with the Spirit's sword,
Standing on the promises of God.
