Autograph

Today Amy went to the Houses of Parliament on a school trip. She went because she was in the 'School Council' for her class, last year. Basically a boy and a girl from every class is voted in by their classmates to represent them at weekly meetings, with some of the teachers. (An early taster of democracy!) This trip was a treat for all those involved.

Anyway, when I picked her up this afternoon she came running out of school, grinning like a Cheshire cat! Was seeing the House of Commons and the House of Lords the reason for her excitement? No... although later she did say she had really enjoyed seeing all the 'important rooms'! No, the reason for such happiness was the fact that they had bumped into Russell Brand! (He was there today giving evidence to the Commons home affairs select committee.) Apparently he spent quite a lot of time talking to them and signing autographs!

This piece of paper is now on the wall by Amy's bed!
