World Book Night
Sadly I have never been a giver or a receiver of books on World Book Night. But I have been lucky enough to listen to both Lily and Ally read to me tonight. Lily "read" some ORT nonsense badly. Ally thrilled me with information about Ships. More specifically, cargo ships...
Red demanded his ClareClare first thing so we called round for a quick coffee, then hit the highlife at Lidl to rectify the complete lack of food in the house, followed by an attack on the laundry mountain.
Just as we say down for lunch, the phone rang, displaying the school number, and my heart sank. Luckily it was only Bella asking if I could accompany her class too and from the secondary school that afternoon. So we gulped down our lunch and walked across to the school.
The rain started moments after we left the primary school. It continued all the way to the secondary school and all the way back to my house. And hour later as I returned to the secondary school it was still raining and it stayed all the way back to the primary school to and all the way back home again! Then is stopped.
Rainbows went back tonight and I remembered to get Lil there on time AND collect her almost on time AND pay subs for the term...
