A spider study

What a gorgeous day! I sat in the garden for a long time just watching the great tits, sparrows and robin flitter in the trees. I could hear the starlings and their space chatter. Whisky was in his sunny spot (see yesterday) and the guinea pig trio were mowing the lawn. I can't sit still for too long, however, so I picked up my camera and had great fun fiddling about with the settings while photographing the garden spider sitting on its web quite near me. I chose the one that had the most colourful background.

We have nine garden spider living on our kitchen window, indoors. One of them, Henry, has been with us for some time, but it would have been only polite if she had let us know that other spiders were coming to join her. Tch!

I made shortbread an hour ago. Between F and I, we've almost polished it off, and it hasn't even cooled down yet!
