Speightstown

Down for breakfast and a discussion with the hotel staff what we would be doing today.An explanation followed from my room mate how he had over indulged in Barbados sunshine the previous day,blaming it on his fair skinned heritage.To prove the point he felt he should show the offending area, always a good way of ensuring a table with a view:)
Caught the council bus into Speightstown.
Met a charming character who was The Coconut Man.Twelve Barbadian dollars later we had 2 coconuts.
Andrew the Fruit Man was less fortunate-no idea where or what Scotland was.Which was a bit if a relief considering the country's previous history in Barbados.
Return journey on the Reggae bus -a quick visit to the shops on the way back,mainly to cool down in the air conditioning but found more of the elusive chunky white kit kats.
Plan is to leave all our suitcase contents and fill them with kit kats instead,sell them on eBay=next years holiday is paid for.
I liked this photo the best but unable to crop the date out which spoils it -have now sorted the camera hopefully.Thanks to my room mate.
