King Fahd Causeway

That's Saudi over there.... My father in law is visiting us at the moment and as my hubby drives from Bahrain to Saudi 6 days a week I thought I would take him as far as we can go for a look see. The King Fahd Causeway is the link between Bahrain and Saudi, it is 25 km long and has been open since 1986. The actual border is on a small island roughly halfway between the two countries and there is an observation tower on each side that you can go up and have a look. On a fine day you can see both Bahrain and Saudi quite clearly... the dust of the last couple of weeks has settled a bit and today was quite good (not brilliant) visibility and he can go home to Perth and say he has seen Saudi....
