Not representative

If my image was representative of my day or my sheltered little world, you may have found me sipping mint julep under the arbor on a chaise lounge while fairies played harp music and struggled to feed me whole grapes. Tiny harps they would have been too, sounding more like squeaks.

After shoving my camera into the dewy, long front patch of lawn (the swivel out live view screen alone was worth this camera upgrade) I set out to complete phase three of the WFRFH*, which is to pull up the liner and fill in with dirt. Problem is, there is no wall or structure to define the border between dirt and pebbles, except the rubber liner. Pull liner up/fill with a couple inches of dirt/tamp down firmly/fold liner back/add pebbles back in seemed to work, for the entire 18 inch depth of the 6 foot diameter basin I'm trying to fill. I only got half way before I ran out of fill. Good thing because after seven hours, I also ran out of steam.

Why didn't I/we hire someone to do this. Well, there is a good reason......erm. Why DIDN'T we? I suppose because I really feel like they mucked it up once and I'm not good at asserting myself with people who are rushing to get a job done. There is simply such an clear picture in my head about the end result and since I can't plug a two-way USB port into my head and the head of the landscaper to transfer the image, I'd have to supervise constantly. That stresses me out a lot more than just working my butt off to get it done.

Tomorrow: painters/lunch with special ones, in other words, a break-till at least 3:00pm and now that it stays light till 8:15.....
