The modern pannier

Not a lot to report. Hellish getting back to getting up at 6am, a slow work day and a lunchtime spent looking for something somewhere between the boil in the bag waterproof jacket and a t-shirt for these days that start chilly and end sunny, always with the possibility of drizzle.

Spent the evening the garage constructing a prototype of a cobbled together pannier. It's that Dutch bike. The modern nylon bag with hi-viz rain cover just looks wrong but the Brooks waxed cotton pannier, that would admittedly look so right, is £150. A bit much for a bike that cost £30.

Tomorrow I have the excitement of a haircut to look forward to.
