Tulip today..... gone tomorrow

This is one of a very limited number of tulips (3) which have managed to flower this year. Unfortunately this one was unceremoniously beheaded at the hands of a small fiend friend who came round for a visit. Order was restored! Nice excuse to have it in the kitchen though.
