Networking

I find these telegraph posts intriguing. They are all over the place spreading their web of communications. Even though it's an old technology it is what provides me with my internet connection.

The connection which allows me to talk to my family on Skype (Very Occasionally). I keep in touch with some old friends and chat with new friends using social media.

But unlike a lot of you I have been playing with computers since 1969 so while the rest of you were playing with ZX spectrums I was using PDP, IBM 36, Univac1600, and developing software for the MDS 21/50. A supermini the first computer to use CRT's as an input device.

Now you know how decrepit I truly am.
