9.5 miles

Today some friends and I have planned to do a walk - inspite of the weather. Rain hits us at about 11.00 a.m. and I get soaked. My anorak does not seem to be as waterproof as it once was and so my arms get wet. My Rohan trousers are so old they act like blotting paper. And my feet get wet too so these old boots will have to go.

But by 13.00 the sun is out I am dry again (apart from my feet). And around us water vapour rises like the moor is on fire. We are halfway here and have about 4.5 miles to go. At the end we all agree - a great day out
