GOING UP!

Food, travel, fuel, insurance, fags, booze, tax, stamps, prescriptions, electricity, gas, flights, telephone, daycare, clothes, shoes, newspapers plus a whole lot of other things are going up up up, the escalating cost of living is a burden we all have to bare it seems, oh how I wish for the old days when rickets were rife, children could still be sent up chimneys & no one needed a pension because we never got past the age of thirty five, I miss the slums, the squaller, outside toilets, tin baths, gas lights, smog, horse trams, urchins (when's the last time you saw an urchin), by gum I loved those days!
