Rolling

backblipped

Charley's getting good at this rolling thing. He's getting pretty good at getting stuck on his tummy ;o) We're letting him get there, letting him see what he thinks, and going to help if he calls for it. He seems to be happy with that arrangement!

The pain and stiffness in my joints is getting worse again, and with a string of broken nights it's making peeling myself out of bed in the morning increasingly difficult. Must remember to phone and make an appointment to see the joint specialists tomorrow.

Charley's nappy usually needs changing at midnight, and by 6am it's soggifying and needs changing. The early morning nappy then might last 2 or 3 hours if we get a lie in. This morning I really didn't want to get up again and so missed out on a shower before church, and we still got there late... Still, Ben went to Sparklers happily, and Charley came and sat in the adult meeting with me for a bit before deciding he'd rather be playing. He didn't fall asleep on the way to church - he's gone and changed his routine again, just when I was getting used to it!

This afternoon Steve crumpled exhausted while occupying Ben for me, I'm really grateful that he did though because even with a sleeping Charley attached to me I managed to finish off all the craft kits hurrah!!

We headed off out for afternoon tea at out friends' house after that which was a tonic. Ben played happily, we got to eat yummy bits and pieces, and Charley got to gum a stick of yellow pepper before deciding that chewing Hoopy's feet was a better option.

This evening though we have had different experiences. Steve went out to a meeting which from what I've heard so far seems to have been more of a civillised debate, and I got to put two children to bed. Ben wasn't interested in bed until he'd had some cereal to satisfy his hunger, and Charley wasn't interested in bed until he'd done a giant poo and been cleaned up - so I had time to finish the craft kit instruction sheet!

However this meant bedtime was closer to ten, which is not good news unless Ben sleeps in in the morning, as tomorrow he has his first settling in session at pre-school and I don't need an exhausted child to deal with while we wait for daddy to come home from work...
