What a splendid name for a hill - the rocky buttress in the foreground. To see it in its best winter condition have a look here. The mountain behind is the mighty Blencathra, one of the best summits in the Lakes.

Lovely little walk this morning from Threlkeld through St John's in the Vale and back over the ridge taking in High Rigg. No rain to speak of although a few spots on the way, but stunning light with clouds flitting across the sun producing these gorgeous dappled vistas.
