Granpa .. can we go fishing?

All four of my Grandkids caught their first fish out of this pond. Boys or girl, no matter, the magic and excitement was the same. The questions were the same: will it hurt the worm, will it hurt the fish, how do fish breathe and where do they live? The bucket was there, filled with pond water to let the little ones get an up-close look at the captive Blue Gill and Bass. What endures from those days is knowing that the youngsters took with them an indelible glimpse of their beautiful, natural world as they slowly lowered the bucket back into the pond and the fishes swam back to their homes.
