And.... snooze!

I have taken more snaps of Jakey today than anything else, so what's today's blip likely to be?
Jakey, of course!

He did a very naughty thing today.
He strolled into the lounge with a big miaaaaaooooowwwwwww, looking at me reclining in a very comfortable position on a comfy chair.

My obvious reply is "What do you want Jakey...?"

He had a quick look around, walked up to a coffee table, jumped onto the coffee table, purposefully stood up on his back legs, front paws above his head at full stretch and made all the right moves to begin scratching at the not inexpensive wallpaper upon the wall.

How fast can I move when necessary shouting "Nooooooooooooo, Jakey...!!!!

As I quickly extract him from his position, he then has this look which says, "I only wanted feeding and as you seem to be up and out of your comfy seat now, you might as well feed me now, yeah...?! Let's walk to the kitchen together. Oh and you know I wasn't really going to rip the nice wallpaper off the walls, don't you...?!"

My other favourite cat from many years ago, used to have a similar trick.
Wanting to go out as soon as the sun was up... be it 5.00 a.m. or whatever... Tetley used to miaow with a passion then start scratching the carpet on the upstairs landing, which used to drive me nuts and would have me diving out of bed to get at her. She would then run downstairs to the front door with the same "Yeah, well, you're up now, so you might as well let me out, mmm...?!"

I did try to persuade her to stay downstairs in the lounge at night but Tetley would insist on having full run of the house, usually by venting her frustration on the carpet by the lounge door if the door was closed!

Cats.
Aren't they fun.
And don't they have us well trained...!
