A great breakfast and nice chat at Epicures in Glasgow's west end this morning. I watched the door carefully for superstars and trendy film-types to pop in for some poached eggs but they must all have been having a long lie.

On my return east, I tried a bit of problem solving: How to fit almost an entire chopped-up apple tree into four brown bins. Answer: You can't.
