Stripes

Went into town this afternoon to see this show at the Scottish National Gallery, which I'd thoroughly recommend. It's quite a small collection but there are some really exquisite pieces, from elaborate drawings to studies done in preparation for larger works in a different medium. There's something really intimate and moving about seeing drawings done in chalk 500 years ago. Beautiful.

Loads of people in Princes Street Gardens soaking up the afternoon sun, but, weirdly, no-one was on this bit, perhaps out of respect for its neatness!
