It's always nice when you forget ordering something from Amazon to find it mysteriously beneath your letter box. I really like the cover of one of the books I ordered, a hirst-esque rendering of cars. The book is 'The Machine that Changed the World, How Lean Production Revolutionized the Global Car Wars'.

I was inspired to buy the book after listening to an episode of This American Life talking about NUMMI, a partnership between GM and Toyoto to bring Japanese Style car making to the USA (NUMMI succeeded, GM didn't).
