Not My Usual Saturday

Last night I thought I was coming down with a cold -- something I definitely didn't want to do, with our Portland trip only a day away!

I felt a little better this morning, but not my usual energetic self, so I decided to stay at home, instead of taking photos at our farmers' market. I did a little work in the back yard (garden), but before I began, I wandered around there looking for possible blips.

The flower buds of one of our evergreen huckleberry bushes seemed like a good choice, as that's a sign of spring we look for every year. Evergreen huckleberries are native shrubs and thus require little care, an asset for an occasional -- rather than dedicated -- gardener like me.

I liked the way the leaves looked like birds' wings in flight -- something I'd not noticed before becoming a Blipper!

(With packing underway, I may not get to comments today or tomorrow, but I'll catch up once we're in Portland.)
