Safari Day Three...

...Massai Mara Park.

By now, the generous drinks late into the evening and the early mornings were creating some interesting quirks among the group. We decided it was probably best to keep having a few during the day, at lunch, to iron these out.

The journey to the park was long and tiring. 6 hours long! Mind you, the regular stops to road side shops allowed ample time for Tracy and I to not only fine tune our haggling skills, but to find entertainment in Ian and Vicky's floundering abilities. The last two hours of road were simply awful. More bumps and grinds than R. Kelly! Though, this was much to Tracy's hysterical entertainment/horror.

In the park, James continued to prove his local knowledge as he vigorously battled against Tracy's inquisitive nature. A battle that would continue to evolve! On our tour, we saw a pride of lions, a family of elephants and the elusive leapard - that made two of the cats! Boom. As the day drew to a close, the heavens opened creating the most dramtic scenery we'd witnessed. It also made the roads as slippy as ice....adding to Tracy's enthusiastic shreeks and cries!

Ian, yet again, had us all in stitches. I actually thought Helen was going to wet herself. By now, James too was finding Ian to be quite the comic. His shock to learn of Ian's proffesion was genius!

Other highlights: Sitting on the equator and coasting along the rift valley. Mint!
