Sunny, With a Slight Chance of Rain

I think I missed my calling; I should have been a meteorologist.

Haven't you noticed the way in which they hedge their bets on the weather? The prediction for every day is either, "Sunny, with a slight chance of rain" or "showers, with a chance of clearing later in the day".

This morning I predicted the weather perfectly, expecting "sunshine all day" and that's exactly what we got! I felt so confident in my prediction that I totally filled the clothesline with clothes, sheets and towels, which I had not been able to wash during the past week as the weather every day has been "showers, with a chance of clearing later in the day".

Throughout the entire day, the mountain range was crystal clear, as today's blip shows.
