Totally Untouched Pink Beach!!!
What a sight - I've never seen it before! When I arrived at the beach I was cursing that by the time I changed the lense on the camera etc, and got down onto the beach, the rainbow I was going to blip had almost disappeared. Anyway I decided to go for a walk anyway and then after taking a couple of very gray shots of the beach this happenned!! I couldn't believe it - and in the middle of it the camera froze!! I couldn't figure it out as I had fully charged the battery earlier today so I took it out and put it in again and, voila, it worked thankgoodness, so I kept snapping for a few minutes and then the pinks were gone and it was back to grey beach shots again!! I looked behind at one stage and there was a nice sunset to the west but still, I have never seen these pinks like this before.
I had been also waylaid on the way into the beach by a flock of Rainbow Lorikeets nesting in one of the trees. I have been trying to capture them at home for ages but they are usually very elusive - it was a toss up what to blip but the Pink Beach won and I have put the Lorikeets in my Blipfolio here:

and also here:Getting Romantic
I took lots of shots of them all nesting in the tree but these two pairs were oblivious to what the others were doing for the whole time I was taking the photos.
I hope you enjoy seeing these gorgeous birds. Have a great weekend everybody.
