Wild Blue Eyes
These are one of my favorite flowers ever. Wild blue eyed grass. The field was covered in them. "Was" being a key word here. As I was admiring their beauty a man on a huge industrial lawn mower was heading my way, so since they were doomed anyway, I plucked them up and went to safer ground so as not to get shredded myself as well. The field was actually the outer portion on the cemetery I visit on a regular basis on my lunches. There are very few graves in that section and they are very spread apart. So many wondrous plants live there. Trees, flowers, and grasses of such variety. It's as if nature is truly honoring those long forgotten by the people of this world.
