A seasider's view

T is for time

The clock was my grandparents', as was the display cabinet, and both now live in my sitting room.

I have strong memories of them in my grandparents' place in Paisley, when I was a child.

I was fascinated by the clock, and the process of winding it up by opening the glass fronting and inserting a key. It had a loud tick, and a deep tone when it rang the hours and I loved listening to it.

I'm afraid I don't wind it up now, but as the joke goes, the clock is right twice a day...
