Holiday backblip- New Zealand- Day 11
Today we went to a place that has geysers and bubbling mud, a Moari cultural 'experience' and kiwis (the birds, not the fruit). We saw a traditional Moari show with dancing and the Haka then had a tour round to show us a wood carving school, some other traditional Moari things and then a walk up to the geysers. The weather wasn't great which made it not quite as dramatic as it could have been but it was still pretty cool when it erupted and all this steam shot up 30 feet into the air.
There's more photos and info here.
In the afternoon Andrew needed a sleep after being sick the day before (and was sick again later) and Matt wasn't feeling great so Cameron, Jenny and I went back into the town to look at the formal gardens and suss out how much rugby shirts cost as Cameron wanted a Blues shirt- the answer was- too much!
