the birthday girl and George

My gorgeous girl is three. My sweet but feisty little Miss Pink is three. THREE! How did that happen?

The morning started at 6.30. I'm not sure who was up first, but I heard the mini pinks in Master Pink's room chattering and playing slides on the cushion on the sofa bed. Then they went into Miss Pink's room and looked at Miss Pink's birthday t-shirt. "I is 3, it says three."

Master Pink "helped" her to open some of her presents and cards, at Master Pink's speed rather than hers.

She's had lots of presents, but I think she is feeling a little overwhelmed as she hasn't wanted to open them all and played mostly with her old favourites. An exception to this was George pig, which once he was unwrapped it was love at first sight.

Miss Pink went to pre-school this morning and took some little cakes for her friends, she didn't want to come home, she was having such a lovely time.

We spent the afternoon at home as that's what she wanted to do. After school Master Pink went to his swimming lesson but we had our nextdoor neighbours come round for a cake and a cuppa, which ended up turning into an afternoon playing and a fish and chip tea.

Around 6.30 Miss Pink completely flaked, asked to go to bed, so we changed her into her gruffalo pyjamas and she sat an snuggled her cuddlies until her real life friends went home.

Tomorrow is her birthday part two. Maybe we'll even get around to opening presents and having her birthday cake !

beaches without sandpits ;)
