Liquids, gases or slurries anyone?

I looked up 'pump' to find a definition and it said "A pump is a device used to move fluids, such as liquids, gases or slurries"
Sounds pretty unromantic and yet I think this is beautiful. A little piece of history right in the middle of Truro. Next time you turn on your tap... imagine having to go to one of these every time you need water instead... and just picture all the different people that would have used this pump... I touched it, and felt them. History rocks.
