Wren
Troglodytes troglodytes
Sorry about all the fuzzy stuff (it is out-of-focus vegetation), the Wren was hiding in the undergrowth, making it an accurate representation of a Wren if not a very clear photograph!
I will be back with some fab facts about Wrens, in the meantime I am entering it in this months wildlife and nature challenge as I think managing to get a photograph of this shouty shouty bird with its beak closed is quite an achievement! In fact I only knew it was there because nothing else makes such a racket.
Tiny but mighty.

Here goes - fab facts about Wrens - The scientific name Troglodytes troglodytes means cave-dweller and refers to the Wrens propensity to tuck itself into small crevices to roost. Wrens are normally solitary but stuff into nest boxes in large numbers to keep warm at night. Apparently the record is 63 in one box. I can't imagine how cute a box stuffed with 63 Wrens must be. Finally, Wrens are so tiny and light that they can actually swim if they fall into water as they are so buoyant
