First days of autumn
Globe mallow is one of the first spring wildflowers. It is also one that last to fade in the fall. It is my very favorite wildflower. It is a malvaceae making it related to hibiscus, rose of sharon, hollyhocks, okra and cotton. These little spires were on the edge of the mesa reaching for the sky.
