Really, do I look like an expensive lush?

Very special, almost-family ladies thought it would be fun to take me out for curry and cocktails, seeing that I'm turning 52 in two days. It was fun, but lord almighty, why does a mixed drink with juice and a splash of booze be $12 dollars?
