Photo 96 #366photos: Rainbow
19 April 2012
Something that Anthony Horowitz said yesterday popped into my head this morning. He said that reading was one of the most creative things you could do. Reading opens you up to the possibilities of creating and imagining a whole different world and reality.
As regular readers of my posts will know, I volunteer at a local school as a reading partner/mentor. Despite the heavy rain, I ventured off and was treated to two enthusiastic boys reading about tales of dragons and Norse pirates and strange birds who grow in a matter of minutes from hatching. I really enjoy this change of scene and the chance to escape to a different world and reality. And helping these boys with their reading.
I took a photo of some books in the school library as my photo today but whilst having dinner I saw this amazing rainbow so decided I should change direction. It so happened that this is also the last photo that my camera took.
The hinge has gone on my camera and I made the mistake of giving it to my Dad to look at. I should know better. He normally takes something to pieces and it's never the same again. My camera was no exception.
I'm going to have to rely on a camera phone until I have the chance to replace my camera, so apologies for the quality in advance.
