Lyngen, day 2

After intensive weather observation and checking the radars we decided to use day 2 to visit Kvaloya, which is big island next to Tromso. The weather was perfect there at the morning time when we drove to the location.

The mountain we decided to go was Storstolpan right next to the Atlantic ocean. After 4 hours of approach and clmbing we were at the 900m over the sea and saw black clouds coming closer with some heavy wind. This meant that the storm was rising and we were bit too late to reach the top and decided to ski what reached so far. Good call as got some really nice powder turns in beautiful surroundings.

At the time when reached our car the storm was already on top of us. Luckily took some nice pics earlier, here is one fishing boat the beautiful Kvaloya bay.
