Passer domesticus

First day of shooting with my new lens (see yesterday).

My impression is that it is a solid lens with a good ranges and a nice manual focus ring. It's pretty light too, which is very nice. The auto-focus is a little slow, but not terribly so.

The biggest downside to this lens, in my opinion, is the strong chromatic abberration against light backgrounds at the long range, as you can clearly see in this picture.

It's a decent lens overall, and pretty good considering it's entry level price tag. I am happy with it so far.
