Woodhouse Community Centre

This former Methodist chapel became a council run community centre. It became under used and was losing the council money as well as falling into disrepair.

The council handed it over to a group called Oblong Leeds under a scheme known as an asset transfer. Oblong Leeds raised £430,000 to renovate it and re-launch it as centre managed and run by local people.

A week today the centre will be officially opened.
