Arty day

The weather has not been great today so we spent the morning doing arty things - first seeing the rather wonderful Leach pottery and then the inspiring Hepworth gallery.

There is a Hepworth piece at work which I love and it was fantastic to see so many of her pieces in a place where she worked. It amazes me how she took very masculine media (metal and stone) and made them feminine but strong.

I loved all of it and really enjoyed talking to Joe about the importance of these art forms.
